It is a traditional dish of hunza Gilgit-Baltistan (GB) province. It is almost prepared in every house of Hunza in the winter season because it has various benefits.

hoi lo garma

Hoi lo garma is a yummy dish that is prepared from mustard green and cooked with flatbread. Its is also called as garma and served traditionally with a simple salad that contains copped tomatoes, green onions, green chilies, and salt. Lemon juice is also added to make it more delicious.

Tumoro chai

Tumoro is a wild aromatic plant that is found in the high mountains nearby Nagar valley. The tea of the tumoro is prepared by boiling it with water at medium heat. It is boiled for a few minutes in order to get the essence from the leaves and then strain it before serving. This tea provides a lot of benefits to the human body like it gives relief from headaches, tranquil the nerves and soothe the sore throats

Chai ka Fetii

Feiti is a round thick bread, traditionally made in a cast iron skillet buried under hot coals and ashes in a hearth. These days, however, these can be easily baked in an oven. The primary ingredients are whole-wheat flour, sourdough and water. Eggs, milk and oil are often added to enhance taste, and boost the nutritional value. With a thin hard crust and soft middle, fetii is a common breakfast staple. But to be honest, us Hunzukutz don't need much convincing to indulge in fetii and Chai throughout the day and well into the night.

Gittey

it is similar to sausages and is prepared with the intestines of animals along with wheat flour, buckwheat flour, salt, crushed red chili, coriander, mint powder, onion, water, and oil. The intestines are washed properly to fill the mixture in them. it normally take around 45 minutes to cooked and served with soup.

Mulleda

Place the roughly broken up day old bread into food processor and grind to medium powder.
add yoghurt and quick pulse mix.
put in salt,  mint and coriander and blend together.
place in a large bowl and put melted butter  into the smaller bowl in Centre.

Fenugreek Soup

fenugreek soup is also known as sikarkuch'e daudo in hunza. it is made with the dried and powdered from of fenugreek. The stem part of this plant is dried and then appropriately grounded until it comes to the shape of a powder. After that, it is cooked with wheat flour so that it become thick.it is a very healthy soup and helps to lower cholesterol and reduce inflammation inside the body

Shopan

shopan is a tasty food item in this region. The key ingredients required for this include the stomach of sheep/goat or minced meat along with flour,salt,red chili,coriandre,onion,mint,water,oil.meat is usually marinated  with vinegar or lemon juice so that the smell goes out from it .it is served with rice or wheat bread.

Giyaling

Giyaling is a traditional breakfast item of hunza.it is specifically prepared for the event of Ginani that is celebrated in the month of may and June each year after cultivation of wheat crops .Giyaling is basically a flatbread that is made with the whole grain flour this bread is usually cooked on special occasions.it is served by spreading butter on it along with tea.

Harissa

Harissa is one of the delicious dishes of Hunza.it is an excellent combination of meat rice, wheat, and green lentil. This can be compared with Haleem, but it has own special taste because it is specially prepared with ghee.it is is a very healthy dish that is preferred by the local people to eat. harissa is very easy to make and a good source of protein. it can be eaten alone or can also be served with naan.

The majority of people living in hunza work in the field, therefore The require highly energetic food to fulfill their body requirements.diram fetti is one of the perfect choices of food for these people diram fetti is an exceptional breakfast item.it is the bread that is made from sprouted wheat flour which provide the natural sweetness to it. This dish is served by adding butter ,almond or apricot oil.

chapshuro

Chapshuro is considered a pizza in hunza. Its is the bread that is stuffed with chopped meat of beef, or chicken with onion, red chili, tomato, coriander, black, pepper, green chili, plan, flour, water, salt, and oil. This dish is baked in the oven at a specific temperature unit dish it turns brown from straightforward to make and delicious eat.
